The Commissioner said the police were working with the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and other stakeholders to rescue as many people as they can from the disaster scene.
He added that emergency workers were on on duty at the site, as excavators were being expected to ensure immediate rescue of those still trapped under the collapsed building.

However, the cause of the incident has not been established but a large number of people were seen in the scene helping out with the emergency officials.
