Top 20 Nigerian Music 2019, First Half that is banging. Nigerian Music has indeed taken a new dimension in 2019 as Nigerian artist and their music are widely accepted and loved globally.

Over the years, the Nigerian entertainment industry has added tremendously to booting her Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as it becomes one of Nigeria’s products exported to the world for foreign exchange.

The Nigerian government, while calculating her GDP in 2013, included her previously abandoned entertainment industry/sector, which Nollywood took the lead. This made Nigeria’s GDP to rise sharply from $270 billion to $510 billion, thereby overtaking South Africa in same year as the worlds biggest economy, according to Brookings report.

PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), an international accounting and auditing firm with headquarters in London, United Kingdom stated that Nigerian Music had an estimated sales revenues of $56 million in 2014. The auditing firm however, forecasts sales revenues to hit $88 million by 2019.

In a statement by Local Media Reports, The massive growth in this sector is as a result of the reversal in the consumption of foreign music by Nigerians.

Tracing back in time down to the early 2000s, the music played in fun places such as, bars, clubs, the radio and TV stations in Nigeria was dominated by American and British top ranking songs. The story has changed.
